by admin ~ February 2nd, 2010

January saw the first training session for the Bulls of the year, and was the first time all the Bulls had been back together since about October last year.  Some good sessions to start with and with quite a few outgoing and incoming players the dynamics of the team has changed so we will have to train more this year (to be fair though any training would be more than last year!!).

Bulls reflect on 2009 season

by admin ~ December 23rd, 2009

BAFL British Champions (14-0)

BAFL Scottish Champions

Bull Run – 2nd place finish

Flag Oceane, France – 5th place finish

Superbowl Saturday III Tournament Champions

3 players selected to play for Scotland Flag Team

4 players selected to play for GB Flag Team

Now that 2009 is drawing to a close Bulls Head Coach Neil Arnold takes time to reflect on what they achieved in what was a fantastic year.

He started: ‘We have had a fantastic year with many highlights and I am extremely pleased that the club continues to be so successful. The big positive for me this year was retaining our British title for the second year of the new British league, and not only retaining it but doing so with an unbeaten record. We are now unbeaten in every game (34) in the British league since it formed in 2008, and it also means that we have retained our Scottish title for the 7th consecutive year since we first entered competition in 2003.

We started the year well by also retaining our title as the ‘Superbowl Saturday’ champs by remaining unbeaten in the 2-day event, and making it 3 years in a row as champs. We had a much depleted squad for this event so it was an even better achievement considering this.
